The Zhi Wei Xuan Chinese Restaurant, located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the hotel, is a distinctly feminine venue designed from the perspective of the merchant’s wife. It features open, semi-private and private dining rooms with one double-height VIP dining space. The merchant’s wife is a glamorous patron of the arts, so Zhi Wei Xuan is full of vibrant colors, enchanting artwork, plush drapery, and soft velvet furniture. Custom-designed glass pinyin fans adorn the ceiling in each private dining room, creating an intimate sense of place. The VIP dining room, which includes a private pantry, balcony and entourage lounge, is a stately arena with floor-to-ceiling windows, a double-height peacock mural and a palatial crystal chandelier. It also features a wrap-around drink deck that overlooks the Xiangjiang River, which will quickly make it Changsha’s premier watering hole.

In fact, the dessert stall hosts what’s quickly become known as the “ice cream revolver,” a futuristic spinning freezer that is sure to awe and delight patrons of all ages. The color palette is neutral, almost like a blank canvas that makes the food the focal point and hero of the venue. Subtly carved wood panels adorn the ceiling, and like the lobby-lounge, they allude to China’s heritage.
