The Intercontinental Changsha is a five-star “city resort” located in the new North Star Delta, a posh urban development built along the Xiangjiang River. Designed by the Singapore office of Wilson Associates, it is a luxury benchmark for the Hunan Province and has already been called “IHG’s best work in Greater China.” 

长沙洲际作为五星级的“城市度假村”位于新北星三角洲, 是沿湘江而建的前卫的都市项目。该项目由维迩森新加坡办公室设计,这是湖南省奢华酒店的代名词并且已经被称为“洲际酒店集团在大中华区最好的酒店”。

One step inside the InterContinental Changsha and you’re frozen. It’s physically hard to move because the grandeur and sheer volume of the space is entrancing. The reception area sits on the left, the lobby-lounge on the right. Overhead, a blanket of crystals directs your gaze onward. You see a series of staggered wall panels, deep red, which offer you a taunting glimpse of what appears to be a floating crystal sculpture. As you move forward, you notice the wall behind the three reception desks is a series of tarnished bronze medicine drawers, which allude to Changsha’s bronze culture. You keep walking and see a short series of steps that lead to the lobby-lounge. You decide to take a peek inside and notice it’s a slightly masculine environment with finely tailored furniture. The leather chaise lounges and tweed arm chairs make you want to sip a freshly brewed latte and read the newspaper or fashion magazine. The height of the room is accentuated by floor-to-ceiling windows and grand pillars adorned in stone and wood. The wood panels are intricately carved, almost like a totem pole, and together with the furniture, they elicit a sense of nostalgia, an Old World glamour that sets the tone for the entire hotel.  

踏入长沙洲际酒店的第一步就会让您被震慑住。这宏伟壮丽的空间将使您着迷，止步不前。接待区，大堂吧分别位于入口的左右两侧。悬挂着的，一条由水晶组成的装饰艺术品将您的视线引入酒店的内部。您看到一系列深红色，极具层次感排列的装饰性墙板宛如一个浮动的水晶雕塑。随着您向前迈进,您将注意到三个接待处后面的墙是体现长沙青铜文化的一系列做旧的青铜药抽屉。再继续探索的同时，经过一系列台阶来到大堂吧。您决定去探查,注意到这是一个略微阳刚的环境并配有精美定制家具。皮革躺椅休息室和粗花呢扶手椅让您想坐下来喝杯现磨咖啡,看看报纸或时尚杂志。落地窗及石材与木材装饰的大支柱使得此空间的高度更加突出。木材面板精雕细刻,几乎就像一个图腾柱,与家具一起,他们让人产生一种怀旧的感觉,一个旧世界的魅力,为整个酒店定下了基调。
