萤火虫博物馆由CIFF中国家博会(广州)与Walking Media共同发起,自2019年首届启动以来,五年内已成功举办多场精彩特展。区别于传统意义上的博物馆,萤火虫博物馆通过概念化的儿童空间展示,表达全新的儿童空间发展理念以及前沿趋势!2024萤火虫博物馆携带全新主题“Blue and blue”,与大家再度共聚在孩子们的世界。在这方奇幻的天地中,小红人“奇奇”是我们设定的新角色,让我们一起以Ta的视角,游走于这个可探知的空间——遇见新的自己,预见新的美好!
The Firefly Museum is jointly initiated by CIFF China International Furniture Fair (Guangzhou) and Walking Media. Since its first launch in 2019, it has successfully held multiple exciting special exhibitions in the past five years. Different from traditional museums, Firefly Museum expresses a new concept of children's spatial development and cutting-edge trends through conceptual displays of children's spaces! The 2024 Firefly Museum brings a new theme of "Blue and blue" to reunite with everyone in the world of children. In this fantastical world, the little red man "Qiqi" is our new character. Let's explore this explorable space together from his perspective - meet a new self, foresee new beauty!

我们都经历过儿童阶段,但记忆是碎片,是模糊,是不确定……可能遗忘才是真实的存在。在遗忘与记忆之间,人类开始成长。似乎我们永远都回不到童年,也许只能保持童心与童趣,这是我们唯一的能力和意义。作为今年的策展人和主设计师,我们希望做点更好玩的事!为此,我们提出的主题是:Blue and blue。
We have all experienced childhood, but memory is fragmented, vague, uncertain... Perhaps forgetting is the real existence. Between forgetting and memory, humans begin to grow. It seems that we can never go back to childhood, perhaps we can only maintain childlike innocence and fun, which is our only ability and meaning. As the curator and chief designer of this year, we hope to do something more fun! The theme we propose for this is: Blue and blue.

Blue是什么?Blue是蓝色?Blue不是蓝色!Blue是blue,Blue不是Blue,Blue是X即Blue=X,Blue and blue即X and X。Blue是超级符号,Blue是X,是你,是我,是他,是我和你,是成人与孩子,TA代表你心中的想象世界。
What is Blue? Blue is blue? Blue is not blue! Blue is blue, Blue is not blue, Blue is X, that is, Blue=X, Blue and blue are X and X. Blue is a super symbol, it's X, it's you, it's me, it's him, it's me and you, it's adults and children, it represents the imaginary world in your heart.
 
为什么会是Blue?Blue是自然之蓝、科技之蓝,自然之蓝与科技之蓝,即诗意之蓝。从blue到Blue的生命跃动,是不同类的同类项,是关于成长的游戏,更是健康儿童与非健康儿童共有的世界。无论在东西方的人类文明中,蓝色都一度陈情着时间与永恒。Blue and blue,似我与你,是爱与爱。
Why is it blue? Blue is the blue of nature, the blue of technology, the blue of nature and the blue of technology, that is, the blue of poetry. The leap of life from blue to blue is a game of growth and a shared world between healthy and unhealthy children. Blue and blue,作为童年的色彩与成长的理想,承载着时间与永恒的寓意。我们以此为超级符号,在兼顾主题需求、空间属性与后现代性表达中重构视觉认知,激发想象与好奇,为儿童与成人共同打造出一个梦幻与哲思并存的空间。从物理概念的视觉性符号到观念性符号,是从现代性到后现代性的转变。
Blue and blue, As the color of childhood and the ideal of growth, it carries the meaning of time and eternity. We use this as a super symbol to reconstruct visual cognition while balancing thematic needs, spatial attributes, and postmodern expression, stimulating imagination and curiosity, and creating a space where dreams and philosophical thoughts coexist for both children and adults. The transition from visual symbols of physical concepts to conceptual symbols is a shift from modernity to postmodernism.

在场地营造中,我们采用“重物节物+物尽其用”的理念,通过预制桁架等元素替代传统实墙,降低建造、维护和拆除成本,满足灵活布展和展品运输需求。这样不仅便于搭建和拆卸,还能在预算紧张和工期紧迫时节省时间,同时保证空间品质。
In the construction of the venue, we adopt the concept of "saving heavy objects and making full use of them", replacing traditional solid walls with prefabricated trusses and other elements to reduce construction, maintenance, and demolition costs, and meet the needs of flexible exhibition and exhibit transportation. This not only facilitates construction and dismantling, but also saves time during budget constraints and tight deadlines, while ensuring space quality.
 
迪士尼并非是完全针对儿童的存在,“大小孩”一直是迪士尼的主旨之一。我们特别邀请SUNDAY HOME将超大的米奇凳与唐老鸭(顶住鸭)等经典形象和识心椅带到我们的空间中,在唤起儿时美好记忆的同时,又将此时的人生感悟融入其中。
Disney is not solely focused on children, 'big kids' have always been one of Disney's main themes. We specially invite SUNDAY HOME to bring classic images such as the oversized Mickey Mouse stool and Donald Duck (holding the duck), as well as the Heartfelt Chair, into our space. While evoking childhood memories, we will also incorporate life insights from this moment into it.

Blue and blue——你是不是想到了蓝色云朵或其它软软萌萌的事物。在Logo主视觉设计中,我们尝试着捕捉AI时代提问与回答时思考的动态瞬间,从一个原点(问题)慢慢扩散,就像一个个思考的产生。用图形与色彩设计的当代性和叙事结构,试图描述童年时生长、疑问、思考、叛逆、融合、分离的状态,希望打破过往的视觉经验,重构新的认知,激发好奇与想象。
Blue and blue - Do you think of blue clouds or other soft and cute things. In the main visual design of the logo, we attempt to capture the dynamic moments of thinking during questioning and answering in the AI era, using graphics and colors to design contemporary and narrative structures, attempting to describe the state of growth, questioning, thinking, rebellion, integration, and separation in childhood, hoping to break through past visual experiences, reconstruct new cognition, and stimulate curiosity and imagination.

奇遇·回廊前的等待
Wonderful Prophecy·Waiting in front of the Corridor
 
如何通过物质性表达精神性,并从空间叙事走向未来叙事?我们采用“小体量,轻介入”的模式,通过解构与重构,打造出与场地环境自成一体的回廊,以独具趣味性、线索性的廊道形成流动性的空间布局,将各个模块有机地编织在一起,串联起场地内部的复合功能,期待观者们汇集于此,在思考如何“为儿童做好设计”的游走中相遇、相识、相知,分享属于彼此的感动!
How to express spirituality through materiality and move from spatial narrative to future narrative? We adopt a "small volume, light intervention" model, through deconstruction and reconstruction, to create a corridor that is integrated with the site environment. With unique and interesting corridors, we form a fluid spatial layout, organically weaving various modules together and connecting the composite functions inside the site. We look forward to viewers gathering here to meet, get to know, and share their own emotions while thinking about how to "design well for children"!
 
我们希望借此“回廊”,打破观者对于传统展览空间的固有认知,让空间、行为、场域悄然介入自我感知与思考。在回廊前徘徊,在回廊中游走,在无聊至极时是否会胡思乱想或大脑放空?我们期待着满足我们欲望的答案,但结果能否如愿?就像童年的成长,人人都有一个心中的欢乐园,快乐与否,自己最了解。我们制造了蓝色的草地,白色的小房子。想去看看吗?
We hope to use this' corridor 'to break the viewer's inherent perception of traditional exhibition spaces, allowing space, behavior, and field to quietly intervene in self-awareness and thinking. Wandering in front of the corridor, wandering in the corridor, will you have wild thoughts or empty minds when bored to the extreme? We look forward to answers that satisfy our desires, but can the outcome be as desired? Just like the growth of childhood, everyone has a joyful garden in their heart, whether they are happy or not, they know best. We have created blue grass and white small houses. 城市不断重复自身的景象和特征,以确保人们能记住它。记忆不断重复城市的各种符号和标志,以便城市在人的心中得以存在。

Does the house really think?
从原始洞穴到智慧人居,人类从未停止对“房子”的想象。在面向智能时代的当下,万物互联互通已成为经济社会的发展趋势,人们对房子的思考逐渐走向反思与批判,经历着由现代性向后现代性的转向。我们用最简单的形体认识与记忆表达了城市与乡村、院落与建筑、交通与路径的关系,让建筑回归房子这一简单符号。
From primitive caves to intelligent settlements, humans have never stopped imagining 'houses'. In the current era of intelligence, the interconnection of all things has become a trend in economic and social development. People's thinking about houses is gradually moving towards reflection and criticism, experiencing a shift from modernity to postmodernism. We use the simplest form to understand and remember the relationship between city and countryside, courtyard and architecture, transportation and path, making architecture return to the simple symbol of a house.

可否想象,在蓝色的草地上,有一幢“会思考的房子”?漂浮的四叶草,在透视和视角转化下亦是Logo图形的惊喜呈现。或许,每个人心中都隐匿着一方蓝色草地的童年幻想。在这场蓝色草地的奇遇中,世界被大胆的想象赋予了蓝色的光泽。在这里可以体验到不同于成年世界的思考方式,沉浸于一种全新的童年体验,激发着人们的好奇心和想象力,引导着我们不断奔赴下一场奇遇。
Can you imagine a 'thinking house' on the blue grass? The floating four leaf clover is also a surprising presentation of the logo graphic under perspective and angle conversion. Perhaps everyone harbors a childhood fantasy of a blue meadow in their hearts. In this adventure on the blue grassland, the world was endowed with a blue luster by bold imagination. Here, you can experience a different way of thinking from the adult world, immerse yourself in a brand new childhood experience, stimulate people's curiosity and imagination, and guide us to constantly embark on the next adventure.

在满足建筑基本功能的同时,如何让建筑更有趣、具有观念性?我们提出“会思考的房子”,将拟人化的空间叙事融入装置艺术中,在显见的蓝与蓝中带来视觉的愉悦,在隐匿的蓝与蓝中启发思想的畅游,展现智能时代下的建筑新思考。我们从策展观念上表达萤火虫博物馆的未来之新,在空间体验中表达设计之趣。这既是面向成人的项目,也是儿童的游戏——房子既是陪伴、也是想象,本身即为展品。
Beyond addressing the basic functions of architecture, how can we make buildings more engaging and conceptually stimulating? We propose the idea of a "thinking house," using personification to integrate spatial narrative into installation art. This concept brings visual delight through the evident blues and blues, while inspiring intellectual exploration through the subtle blues and blues, showcasing new architectural thinking in the era of intelligence. Our aim is to express the future vision of the Firefly Museum through curatorial concepts and to convey the pleasure of design within the spatial experience. This project is not only aimed at adults but also serves as a playful experience for children—where the house itself, as both a companion and support, becomes an exhibit in its own right.

奇奇·惊喜制造者
Qiqi · Surprise Maker
 
在“会思考的房子”中,好奇的奇奇(小红人)与HOWONEO7系列之Blue and blue chair相遇,在蓝色的包裹中。霓虹闪烁,灰色的圆镜折射出奇妙世界,这是一场自我成长的挑战与冒险,为了叛逆为了爱。遇见了什么,也许就是预见未来的开始……隐匿的蓝与蓝,是思想的畅游。
In the "thinking house," the curious Qi Qi (Little Red Man) encounters the Blue and blue chair from the HOWONEO7 series, all enveloped in shades of blue. Neon lights flicker, and gray circular mirrors reflect a wondrous world. This is a challenge and adventure of self-growth, driven by rebellion and love. Whatever is encountered here might be the beginning of foreseeing the future... The hidden blues and blues represent a journey of thought and exploration.

奇奇(小红人)形象即代表对世界的好奇与思考,微微抬头仰观宇宙之大,呈现出一种探索之势。Blue and blue chair即关于一条尾巴的猜想,这条尾巴也暗示着我们每个人隐匿的欲望和理想。或许,每个儿童心中都有隐秘的梦境或大胆的想象。为了叛逆为了爱,以此,重新探寻自我。在Blue and blue梦幻空间,我们通过奇奇向上求索的引力和一条尾巴的猜想,传递儿童的精神向往与想象力,为观者带来视觉与心理的双重体验。
The image of Qiqi (Little Red Man) represents curiosity and contemplation towards the world, looking up slightly at the vastness of the universe, presenting a trend of exploration. Blue and blue chair is a conjecture about a tail, which also implies the hidden desires and ideals of each of us. Perhaps every child has hidden dreams or bold imaginations in their heart. For rebellion and love, in order to rediscover oneself. In the Blue and Blue Dream Space, we convey children's spiritual aspirations and imagination through the peculiar upward gravitational pull and the conjecture of a tail, bringing viewers a dual experience of visual and psychological.

蜿蜒的长廊、蓝色的草地、会思考的房子和空中的四叶草,以及奇奇与Blue and blue chair的邂逅,展示了由物理空间向观念空间转变的后现代主义特征,带来“重回童年”的惊喜。项目设计过程中,我们不仅关注现代主义空间的功能性与理性,更强调后现代主义中的思想隐喻和观念符号。我们相信,每一个Blue都是生命的爱与色彩,每一个blue也是智能时代的隐喻与能量。
The winding corridor, blue grassland, thoughtful house, and four leaf clover in the air, as well as the encounter between Qiqi and Blue and Blue Chair, showcase the postmodern characteristics of the transition from physical space to conceptual space, bringing the surprise of "returning to childhood". In the project design process, we not only focus on the functionality and rationality of modernist space, but also emphasize the ideological metaphors and conceptual symbols in postmodernism. We believe that every blue is the love and color of life, and every blue is also a metaphor and energy of the intelligent age.

一老一小的生活环境备受设计师的关注和重视,2024萤火虫博物馆“为国际儿童设计”全球峰会将老幼共融作为探讨主题之一,更多维度地关注儿童成长环境。我们邀请新朋故友,中外设计精英,再聚首2024“为国际儿童设计”全球峰会。不仅探讨传统的儿童室内空间设计内容之外,还增加了青少年户外环境设计、老幼共融等设计话题内容,力求为未来的儿童设计领域注入新的活力和创意。
The living environments for both the elderly and children are receiving significant attention and importance from designers. At the 2024 Firefly Museum Global Summit on "Designing for International Children," the integration of young and old will be one of the key topics of discussion, focusing on the multifaceted aspects of children's growth environments. We invite new and old friends, along with design elites from around the world, to gather again at the 2024 Global Summit on "Designing for International Children." The summit will not only delve into traditional aspects of children's indoor space design but will also introduce topics such as youth outdoor environment design and intergenerational integration, striving to infuse new vitality and creativity into the future of children's design.

In the enclosure of the white little house, a massive screen and stage bring everyone together, sipping coffee and gathering around the stage. Is the stage the place of your dreams? Did you once hope, as a child, to stand on that stage and receive applause? As you grew up, did you find that sitting in the audience and listening to the stage's stories also became an opportunity to gain inspiration? We still hope that you have your own grand stage, wherever it may be!

在沿场地中轴线处,我们设置了休憩空间和礼品屋,供观者停留与交往。从蜿蜒的回廊走向大舞台的诱惑,连接的墙体既是空间的分隔,也是流线的引导,在游走的过程中象征着从观展者到分享者的身份转变与趣味体验,这也是一种收获能量与自我成长的过程。
Along the central axis of the venue, we have created a space for relaxation and a gift shop, allowing visitors to pause and interact. The enticing journey from the winding corridor to the grand stage is marked by connecting walls that serve both as spatial divisions and as guides for movement. This layout symbolizes the transition from visitor to presenter and offers an engaging experience. It represents a process of gaining energy and personal growth.

在舞台设计中,我们将萤火虫博物馆蕴含的“为儿童而设计”主旨精神与中国家博会(广州)自带的文化属性相结合,运用Blue and blue的符号语言,从儿童到成人,从美学到哲学,从可想象到不可想象,从具象思维到抽象思维,从标答到去标答,从展览论坛到日常生活中,呼吁观者以成人的方式看待儿童的身体机能和生活状态——保持童真与童趣,为儿童而设计,为儿童做好设计。
In stage design, we combine the spirit of "designing for children" contained in the Firefly Museum with the commercial attributes inherent in the China Family Expo (Guangzhou), using the symbolic language of Blue and blue. From children to adults, from aesthetics to philosophy, from imaginable to unimaginable, from concrete thinking to abstract thinking, from marking to de marking, from exhibition forums to daily life, we call on viewers to view children's physical functions and living conditions in an adult way - to maintain innocence and childlike fun, design for children, and do a good job in design for children.
关于儿童,我们都是亲历者。童年的时光是短暂的,也是易逝的。未来,是智人与人工智能之间不断互动的时代,儿童是我们真正的未来。
Regarding children, we are all eyewitnesses. Childhood is short and fleeting. The future is an era of constant interaction between intelligent humans and artificial intelligence, and children are our true future.

Blue and Blue: Encounter and Foresight. Blue is the definition of humanity, a childhood fantasy color, and a representative color of human ideals. Blue is the natural state, the color of the sky, air, and water, and also a metaphor for technology. It is this beautiful blue planet. Let's jump into Blue together - free imagination, light up inspiration!
